8-year-old with meth 01/12/2006 the manager of a fast-food restaurant told police a young boy tried to trade him drugs for food.
according to a police report released on wednesday, the manager of a&w, 1327 s. prairie ave., was minding the counter in the days leading up to christmas, when a boy he estimated to be 8 years old entered the restaurant.
the boy asked the manager if he could have some food. the manager asked how the boy planned to pay for it, and the boy produced a folded piece of paper containing a white substance. when the manager told the boy that the contents of the paper looked like drugs, the boy ran from the store. he was never identified.
the manager handed over the suspected drugs to police. police determined the substance was methamphetamine. the piece of paper the boy gave the manager contained 1 gram of the drug, with a street value of $100.www.chieftain.com/metro/1137074140/17
